Yves Bonnefont has been appointed deputy CEO of Citroën, assisting Frédéric Banzet, from 16 April.

Bonnefont will notably be in charge of coordinating the DS line. He will focus in particular on the DS launch in China where it is a distinct brand with its own distribution network.

The Citroën brand DS and strategy teams will report to him.

He will maintain his function as group strategy director.

Banzet said : “With the return of sales and marketing to the brand, the arrival of Yves Bonnefont will bring us considerable support. Our strategic objective for Citroën today is two-fold: to continue building on the success of the DS line, particularly in China where DS has become a separate brand, and to establish and roll out worldwide the new positioning of the C line.”
