General Motors (GM) has signed an agreement to purchase the remaining 40% shares of Isuzu Motors Polska (ISPOL) from Isuzu Motors.
From now on, the plant where currently 1.7-litre diesel engines are built will operate as GM Powertrain Poland.

GM has already owned 60% of the engine plant since 2002.
The Tychy plant was established in 1996 and started production in 1999. Since then the plant, employing 522, has made over 2.5m engines.
