HMA is now the sole source of the MDX, along with several Honda ‘light truck’ models, including the Odyssey minivan, the Pilot SUV and the Ridgeline pickup.
HMA also builds V6 engines for each model. The 2014 MDX has a new ‘Earth Dreams Technology’ direct injection V6 made for the first time in North America.
Designed, engineered and developed in the US, the seven-passenger MDX is built on a completely new platform and is claimed to offer improved ride comfort, a more versatile and luxurious cabin, class-leading fuel economy and enhanced driving ability.
It will also be offered for the first time in a more affordable and more fuel efficient two wheel drive specification.
