GAZ Group has started production of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter light commercial vehicles at its plant in Nizhny Novgorod, M-B spokesman Andrei Rodionov told RIA Novosti.
An agreement for the deal came into effect about a year ago.

“By 1 September, the first batch of 400–600 vehicles is planned to be assembled,” Rodionov said.
Order books open on 1 July and sales start on 1 September, Rodionov said.
