New vehicle sales in Indonesia increased by just over 4% to 99,568 units in May, from 95,541 units a year earlier, according to wholesale data gathered by the Gaikindo industry association.

The rate of growth was much lower than in previous months, reflecting tighter lending rules imposed on banks and high year earlier data.
