PSA Peugeot-Citroën expects increased production at its Vigo plant in Spain this year to meet demand for the second generation Citroën C4 Picasso, estimated at 150,000 units a year. The automaker expects the plant’s 2013 output production to be 440,000 units, up from 400,000 in 2012.
There has also been a surge in demand for the Citroën C-Elysée [C4 sedan] and Peugeot 301 sedan sold in emerging markets where hatchbacks are less popular.
