Simon Thomas, who joined Volkswagen two years ago after 20 years in various roles with Nissan, is moving from the post of managing director of Volkswagen Group UK to head up marketing at Wolfsburg.
Thomas, 53, takes up his new post on 1 September, succeeding Jürgen Stackmann, 51, who was appointed chairman of group subsidiary SEAT from 1 May, 2013.
