BorgWarner United Transmissions Systems has started producing control modules for SAIC Motor’s new six-speed dual clutch transmission, the first developed in-house by a domestic Chinese automaker.

SAIC will install the gearbox in the Roewe 550 mid-sized sedan this year. The state-owned Chinese automaker also plans to use it in the Roewe 350 and 750 sedans.
