The Volkswagen Group sold 8.24m vehicles in January-October 2014, up 5% year on year and a new record.
October sales were up 2.9% to 842,700.

“So far this year the group has outpaced the overall market. That is a pleasing development in light of the market situation in some regions which is at times still challenging. Our brands recorded further growth in western Europe and Asia-Pacific in particular”, sales chief Christian Klingler said.
Volkswagen Passenger Cars boosted sales 2.6% to 5.08m year to date.
Audi sales rose 10.1% to 1.44m.
