Toyota minicar unit Daihatsu is adding 200,000 units of passenger car engine capacity at Astra Daihatsu Motor in Indonesia. The extended line is scheduled to run from summer 2015.
Engine production will be shifted in stages from the existing line to the new line and capacity at the Karawang Engine Plant will rise to 530,000 engines a year.
