Toyota’s Aqua (Prius C) hybrid was again the top-selling car in Japan for July with sales of 28,657 units, up 9.1% year on year, industry bodies said.

The Prius was second with 23,067 units sold, down 30.9%, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association and the Japan Mini Vehicles Association told Kyodo News.

Minivehicles took third to eighth place.

Daihatsu’s Move minivehicle was third with sales of 20,672 units, up 46.8%, and Honda’s N Box was fourth with 19,736 units.
