Three Chinese automakers have been told to recall a total of 560,000 cars because of fuel pump defects.

China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said Brilliance Auto, Chery and Great Wall Motor will begin the recalls from 15th December to replace leaky fuel pumps.

The pumps were made by United Automobile Electronic Systems Co Ltd, a Shanghai-based joint venture with Germany’s Bosch.
