Chery will be opening a new facility in Jacarei city in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 2013. Chery Auto started constructing the facility with a CNY 2.45bn (US$397.4m) investment in 2011.
According to Indo-Asian News Service, Chery Auto entered Brazil in 2009 and has since then launched models such as QQ, Cielo and Tiggo.

The Sao Paulo police also started using Celer models in July, representing the first time that Chery cars have been utilised for public service.
The automaker has 80 dealers in Brazil.
