BYD’s revenue in the first half ended 30 June increased 13.3% to CNY24.24bn (US$3.93bn) compared to CNY21.4bn in the first half of 2012. Profit before tax drastically climbed to CNY618.4m compared to CNY159.3m in the year ago period. The company’s profit for the period went up to CNY536.3m compared to CNY104.2m in the first six months of 2012.
