BorgWarner is re-organising its business into two major groups, engine and driveline, the company said in a statement.

“Our new organisation will bring out the best in BorgWarner through collaboration, while maintaining the entrepreneurial, close-to-the-customer focus of our units,” said president and chief operating officer Timothy Manganello.
“As automakers worldwide outsource more of their engine and driveline systems, this new organiSation is the next logical step in BorgWarner’s business strategy,” he said.
The BorgWarner engine group reports directly to Manganello, and includes chain systems, turbochargers, cooling systems and air/fluid systems.
Air/fluid systems and cooling systems operations are being combined into a emissions/thermal systems unit with Alfred Weber as president and general manager. Weber was most recently president and general manager of the air/fluid systems unit.
The driveline group, which is comprised of the company’s transmission and four-wheel/all-wheel drive and torque management systems, reports to group president Robert Welding who is also president and general manager of transmission systems.
John McGill has been named president and general manager, TorqTransfer systems, reporting to Welding.
McGill was most recently president and general manager of cooling systems.
