Jatco announced it will expand capacity in the next year of its recently completed US$200m automatic transmission plant in Thailand’s Chonburi province.
The plant began pre-production in July 2013 with a capacity of 500,000 CVT transmission systems per year. Deliveries to customers are expected to start this month.

The factory currently employs 740 workers, but this is expected to rise to 1,300 next year, when capacity will be expanded to 700,000 units per year.
