Ford reportedly cancelled a components contract with SKF a few weeks after strikes hit car parts manufacturers in South Africa.

Reuters reported that, due to these frequent work stoppages, Ford’s regional head said the company would think before investing further in the country.

South African automakers faced a four-week strike by 220,000 metal workers earlier this year and operations resumed in September.

The strike affected the local factories of Ford, General Motors and Toyota.
