GAZ Group and MW (the wheels division of Italian Group CLN) signed an MOU to establish a wheel disc manufacturing joint venture at Nizhny Novgorod.
This is the third joint venture for production of auto components to be organised at the GAZ Group site: Bosal-GAZ JV, an exhaust systems manufacturer, is already operating while preproduction at Bulten, the European manufacturer of fasteners, is in progress.

The MoU signed between GAZ and MW says the parties will establish a 50/50 joint venture for production of steel stamped wheel disks. The estimated start of production is planned for 2015 with an annual capacity of 2.5m wheels a year. The potential customers include GAZ Group, global OEMs operating in Russia and the aftermarket.
