Honda has said about 3m more vehicles will need to be recalled and repaired in the US after it widened a ‘hot and humid’ regional campaign to the entire country.
A Honda spokesman told Bloomberg News the the automaker would add the vehicles to the tally and extend the recall nationwide. The company had earlier disclosed the decision during a UScongressional hearing this week without saying how many cars would be affected.

While Honda was willing to conduct the expanded recall, airbag supplier Takata rejected a demand by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to take similar action.
