There have been rumours that a new coupe would revive the SC name but now comes news that TMC has registered the LC 500 and LC 500h model names.
The LC is not expected to go on sale worldwide until 2017. It will be aimed at the Mercedes-AMG S-Class Coupe. This is in line with Lexus’ new direction whereby it aims to have sportier inclinations that had once been the case. This also means that the LC will be closely based on the next LS, which is due in 2016.
