BYD-Daimler New Technology Company has launched its Denza electric vehicle in China, at the inauguration ceremony at the company first dealership in Shenzen.
The company is a joint venture between BYD Automobile and Daimler.

The car retails at between CNY369,000-399,000 (US$59,780-64,640) but qualifies for a government subsidy of CNY57,000 and is exempt from a CNY21,000 tax. It has a maximum speed of 150km/h and maximum torque of 290Nm, giving it acceleration from 0-50km/h in 4.5 seconds. A full charge gives a range of 300km (200 miles).
