The second model for the revived Datsun brand has been revealed at the Jakarta motor show. The new Go+ is a small minivan and will be locally manufactured from 2014.
Nissan Motor says both the Go and Go+ will be produced at Cikampek (Purwakarta) in the province of West Java. The Indonesian plant, which is 80km east of Jakarta, already builds the Juke, March and Livina.

Total capacity at Cikampek will increase to 250,000 annually by 2014, with the workforce expanding to 3,300. Sales outlets are on target to rise to 150 by 2015.
The Go+ has the same front end as the Go but is 201mm longer as it is a 5+2 MPV, not a five-door hatchback. It is 3,995mm long, 1,635mm wide and 1,485mm tall, with the same 2,450mm wheelbase as the Go. Both models use the Alliance V architecture.
The new vehicle, which will not enter production until 2014, will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, with the standard transmission a five-speed manual gearbox. Nissan says the Go+ will be priced below IDR100m (US$8,963), claiming that this will make it “the only with three rows of seats in this price range”.
