“We have received outstanding orders for the CX-5 and, as long as there’s no constraint in our volume production, there shouldn’t be any surplus in our product supply,” he said.
The company has sold more than 5,000 units of Mazda vehicles so far, Yeoh said at a CX-5 export ceremony held by Mazda Malaysia in Port Klang.
He said brisk sales of the CX-5, which accounts for about 25% of the brand’s total sales volume, are in line with the growing popularity of SUVs.
Mazda Malaysia, a 70-30 joint venture between Mazda Motor and Bermaz Motor, will export assembled CX-5s to Thailand.
