Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz Vans division has launched new engines and body styles for its range of Citan urban delivery vans which are built on an OEM basis by Renault.

A new top diesel model is the 111 CDI developing 81 kW (110 hp) while the petrol 112 (84 kW/112 hp) is also new.

Mercedes said the Citan had “established itself well” a year after launch in Europe and was now on sale in all EU countries plus Switzerland, Norway and Turkey, with Russia to follow. A launch is planned for Chile while other markets in southeast Asia and the Middle East are also being evaluated.
