The company, a joint venture involving Daihatsu and local Malaysian companies, said the introduction of the S-series model in March was key to its improved performance this year. The model accounts for around 48% of monthly sales.
The company expects to comfortably meet its full year target set earlier in the year of 194,000 sales, which would give it a market share of around 31%.
