Dana Holding’s (DAN) lightweight Spicer axles with AdvanTEK gears are headed for Mahindra & Mahindra’s new line of SUVs and small trucks.

Production for Mahindra is expected to start in mid 2015.

The axles will be produced by Spicer India in a factory in Chakan.

Spicer India is a joint venture between Dana and Anand Automotive Systems. It supplies axles, drivetrain products, and service parts to OEMs and the aftermarket in India.

Mahindra’s Xylo is also equipped with Dana’s Spicer rear axles with AdvanTEK.

Major Dana customers include Ford, Mazda, Nissan Motor and Tata Motors.
