Ford will idle car and engine production at its Romanian factory for 13 days in November, its third straight month of stoppages in response to weak European demand.

Ford took over struggling carmaker Automobile Craiova in 2008 and began production of the B-Max mini-MPV [B-segment minivan] there last year at a rate of 370 cars a day as well as 1,000 engines for several models. Production cuts in September and October did not include engines; Ford stopped only car output.
