Steelmaker Severstal plans to supply 591,000 tonnes of steel sheets to automakers in Russia and CIS countries in 2013, which is almost flat year on year compared to 585,000 tonnes in 2012, Vladimir Rakhuba, head of sales to the automobile industry, said.
About 190,000 tonnes of steel sheets will be sold to foreign automakers with production capacities in Russia, Prime News reported.

Rakhuba said Severstal supplies rolled stock to all Russian automakers and some foreign companies, including Renault, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, GM in Uzbekistan, as well as Peugeot Citroen and Volkswagen.
“We are not supplying (steel products) [to] Toyota as they are not making stampings in Russia, but importing them,” he added.
