Maruti Suzuki India said it would recall 1,492 vehicles (306 Ertiga, 592 Swifts, 581 Dzires, and just 13 A-Stars) to inspect steering columns.

The cars were made between 19 and 26 October, 2013. Defective columns will be replaced.

No export models are affected and Indian dealers already have replacement parts in stock, the automaker said.
