Hyundai Motor has begun production of affiliate Kia’s Rio hatchback model at its plant in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, RIA Novosti reported.
The Russian Rio has 1.4- or 1.6-litre petrol engines and manual or automatic gearbox. Pricing was not provided.

The plant started Rio sedan last August and sales began in October.
