US: BorgWarner boosts sales, profits, in static market
BorgWarner said fourth quarter 2011 earnings of US$1.00 per share compared with $0.89 a year ago on sales up 16% to $1.77bn and global vehicle production up barely 1%.

Operating income was $191m or 10.8% of net sales, BW said, without providing a year-ago comparison.
Full-year sales rose 26% to $7.12bn and net earnings rose 47% to $4.45 per share. Operating income was $798m, or 11.2% of sales, up from 11.1% in 2010.
For 2012 the supplier expects 10% to 12% sales growth compared with 2011, earnings of $5.35 to $5.65 per diluted share and an operating income margin of 11.5% or better.
