Akebono Brake Industry has said it has decided to call off talks with Robert Bosch on buying the German firm’s foundation brake business.
Akebono said in a statement cited by Reuters that the acquisition would not fit with the company’s business strategy.

In 2009, Akebono acquired Bosch’s foundation brake business operations in North America. The Japanese company was in talks from last November about taking over the German company’s foundation brake business elsewhere, the report added.
