Some 2,000 PSA workers have staged a protest march over the possible closure of the firm’s manufacturing site in Aulnay-sous-Bois, in the northeastern suburbs of Paris.

The possible closure of the plant was discussed in an internal PSA report last year that was leaked by the CGT labour union.

Since 2004, the site’s production has been halved and the workforce has decreased to 3,440 from 5,000.

PSA CEO Philippe Varin said last week that a reduction of production capacity for the group was unavoidable.
