Renault’s board is to meet later today (14 March) as the intrigue surrounding the alleged espionage case shows no sign of abating.
Although a spokeswoman for the manufacturer in Paris told just-auto that: “Renault never confirms any of the board meetings,” she nonetheless added: “I am definitely not going to deny it.”

The board meeting will follow a press conference being given by the Paris Prosecutor today in which he is expected to shed some light on the spy affair, in which Renault sacked three high-profile executives.
“We are waiting for the full [Paris Prosecutor] press conference and we will send a release right after that,” said the Renault spokeswoman.
All three fired executives strongly deny any wrongdoing in the case, that has seen French media speculate on the future of Renault chief operating officer Patrick Pelata.
The issue has even gone as far as France’s industry minister Eric Besson, who last week used a metaphor on French radio station RTL, that Pelata could offer his “head” in the matter.
