Honda has restarted production at its car plant in Thailand, crippled for the past six months after massive flooding there last year.
All major Japanese automakers in Thailand are now operating normally. Honda suspended operations at the plant at the beginning of October after water as high as 3m flooded it.

Coupled with the impact of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan last year, the output of the plant was slashed to 103,000 units in 2011, down nearly 40% from 170,000 units the year before. Annual production capability is 240,000.
While other automakers were hit by supply chain disruptions, Honda was the only Japanese carmaker in Thailand to be directly hit by the flooding.
