Saturday production at Skoda Auto will end because unions failed to agree on a new collective agreement with the company, Skoda union head Jaroslav Povsik said at a press conference.

Unions will start to organise meetings at workplaces next week. The last offer of a 4.3% increase in wages made by Skoda during talks on Friday was unacceptable for unions which demanded a 6% raise.
