Toyota Motor Vietnam is cutting production by 70% to 3 June due to a shortage of components following the earthquake in Japan last month, the company said.
The unit of Toyota Motor has an annual production capacity of 20,000 vehicles, according to its website, Dow Jones said.

Toyota Vietnam is 70%-owned by Toyota Motor, 20% by Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery and 10% by KUO Singapore.
