After saying last year that it would stop RX-8 production for North America and build 1,000 special edition models for Japan in 2012, Mazda has now decided to assemble another 1,000 for Japan ‘due to the overwhelming demand’.
Production of so called Spirit R edition models with special badges, red brake callipers and sport-tuned suspension is expected to continue till the end of June.
