Sibur Russian Tyres has started supplying Cordiant brand tyres to Volkswagen’s plant in Kaluga for Polo models, the supplier said. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Volkswagen Group Rus is currently completing talks with Sibur Russian Tires to supply tyres for other models. Total supplies could reach 100,000 units by the end of 2011.

Sibur’s output last year rose 14.4% year on year to 8.7m the company said in early March. Owner, petrochemical group Sibur Holding, also controls tyre manufacturers Omskshina, Matador-Omskshina, the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant, Voltire-Prom, and Uralshina, Prime-Tass said.
