The Dongfeng Nissan joint venture has named the plant at which Infiniti vehicles will be manufactured. Xiangyang, in Hubei province is set to build two models from 2014.
Nissan China used the backdrop of the recent Beijing motor show to reveal that it intended to build Infiniti vehicles locally but did not state which plant would manufacture them. According to the announcement made earlier on 28th May, the facility which already makes the Nissan Teana and Murano models will add two Infiniti vehicles. The identity of these cars is yet to be revealed.

Dongfeng Nissan will invest RMB 2bn (US$315m) to expand Xiangyang, lifting the plant’s capacity from the current rate of build of 130,000 cars per year to 250,000.
