Toyota will begin selling chargers for electric vehicles and plug-in gasoline-electric hybrids next month says Kyodo.
The Japanese automaker estimates it will sell around 3,000 units of the two types of chargers, known as ‘G-Station,’ to Toyota dealerships in Japan as well as shopping malls and restaurants by the end of next year.

The chargers, priced at JPY280,000 (US$3,490) and JPY448,000, will be connected to the internet to permit drivers to check locations and availability via mobile phones and in-car navigation systems.
The chargers can be used by vehicles from Toyota and other manufacturers, adds Kyodo.
