PSA Peugeot Citroën and University of the Mediterranean on Friday (24 June, 2011) signed an agreement in Marseille to create an OpenLab joint laboratory to conduct research on human movement sciences and their application to the automotive industry.
The lab will analyse the interactions between people and vehicles in order to augment the reality of the driving simulator experience while also furthering the development of new driver support systems.

Created at PSA Peugeot Citroën’s initiative, the OpenLabs are designed to pool the group’s research teams and testing resources with those of partner laboratories in joint research structures dedicated to innovation.
The network, which is gradually being deployed across France, will make it possible to explore major issues concerning the future of the automobile and to closely track the latest scientific discoveries worldwide.
