Toyota said that its sales in Russia increased 85% on the year to 64,846 cars in the first six months of this year.
It sold 57,615 Toyota-brand cars in the January-June period, up 86% on the year, and 7,231 Lexus-brand models, up 72% on the year.
Best-selling models were the Corolla, with 13,413 units sold; the RAV4, 12,709 units, and and the Camry, 10,877.
Last year Toyota increased sales by 15% to 79,315 vehicles and expects to achieve over 115,000 this year.
