Although it is sold elsewhere with a 137bhp two-litre engine option, Peugeot
Brazil is offering the 206CC only with a 110bhp 1.6-litre, 16-valve engine.

“The 206 CC shows consumers the versatility of the 206 range”, said
Peugeot do Brasil president Cees Hermanns.

At the end of June, Peugeot will start to sell a one-litre, 16-valve 206 hatchback
model built in the PSA Group’s new Porto Real plant, in Rio de Janeiro
state.

“This year we will sell 17,000 Brazilian-made one-litre 206s and 11,000
imported 206s with 1.6-litre engines”, Hermanns said.

Last year, Peugeot sold 12,239 1.6-litre 206s made in Argentina and France.
