Finnish tyre producer Nokian Tyres plans to increase its output in Russia by 50% on the year to 9m tyres this year.
Andrei Pantyukhov, director general of the company’s Russian division, told reporters that the company plans to launch the 10th production line with a production capacity of 1.5m tyres per annum at its plant near St Petersburg.

The plant’s production capacity is expected to reach 14m tyres per year in 2012.
The company is also considering adding another plant in Russia.
