Guangzhou Honda’s production and sales of the Accord car increased in July of this year, although a good performace by Buick models put Shanghai General Motors in the lead interms of market share.

The output of Accords was 3,189 in July, surging 149.7 percent over the same period of last year, and the sales were 3,204, soaring 160.7 percent, with the sales ratio standing at 100 percent. The model’s market share was 6.39 percent.

The market share of Buick reached 5.73 percent, 0.35 percent higher than in June, with the sales-production ratio at 80.7 percent. The output and sales of Buick were 3,558 and 2,871, rising 179.7 percent and 54.3 percent over the same period of last year, respectively.
