Kongsberg Automotive’s fluid transfer business area has secured contracts for the Chinese and American markets worth a total of EUR10m (US$13m).

The first contract is for supply of air-brake couplings to an unnamed Chinese truck manufacturer, with supply coming partly from Kongsberg’s facility in Raufoss, Norway and from a base in Wuxi, China.

Fluid Transfer has also received a new contract for high temperature fuel and turbo hose assemblies from one of the US’ largest producers of heavy-duty engines, although no identity has been revealed.

“Both these awards are testament to the innovative products and local supply that fluid transfer is capable of offering to our customer base on a global scale,” said Kongsberg Automotive fluid transfer business area EVP Jonathan Day.

“The contracts also prove that we continue to strengthen our market position in two import growth areas for Kongsberg Automotive.
