VW’s Spanish unit Seat has announced its version of the VW Up, the Mii. Skoda recently launched its version called Citigo.

Like the Up and Citigo, the Mii will be built at VW’s Bratislava plant in Slovakia and sales in the Spanish home market will begin “before the end of the year” with the rest of Europe following next spring. There is no right hand drive launch date yet.

Like the Up and Citigo, the Mii will be sold with new 1.0-litre petrol engines of 60PS and 75PS outputs.

Two Ecomotive versions will be offered with start/stop system and brake energy recuperation. Continental Europe markets will also be offered a CNG version with CO2 emissions of just 86 g/km.

An automated manual gearbox box will also be available.

Spanish buyers will choose from three equipment levels, two style packs and various options.
