Toyota Motor Europe (TME) announced it is recruiting over 100 “professionals” for its European headquarters and research and development centre in Belgium.
“The recruitment drive aims to bring enthusiastic and talented professionals to TME’s engineering, sales and marketing, and corporate functions,” the automaker said in a statement.

“Toyota’s new Global Vision now makes Europe the focal point for planning small and compact cars. Our new recruitment plan will strengthen our European teams, in all functions, in developing our next core models for Toyota globally,” said the unit’s president and CEO Didier Leroy.
He added: “With 25 new or updated Toyota and Lexus models rolling out in Europe in the next 24 months, this is also an exciting time for our business development in Europe.”
Toyota Motor Europe employs about 2,500 people in Belgium, in a multicultural working environment with the workforce spanning more than 50 nationalities.
Toyota began operations in Europe in 1963 and has invested over EUR7bn since 1990.
It has vehicle and engine plants in the UK, France, Poland and Turkey.
