Rover Group, the British-owned independent company producing cars under the Rover and MG brands from its Longbridge, Birmingham plant, has announced it will change the company name to MG Rover Group Limited.
Commenting on the decision, Kevin Howe, chief executive, said: “Given that we are establishing a new company, the opportunity has been taken to reflect this in a new name which emphasises that we are totally committed to the design, engineering and manufacture of world-class MG and Rover products.”

The change will take place progressively over the next month.
